Voices of EQUIP (Examining Quality Improvement for Medicaid Programs)
Voices of EQUIP is a project to learn about people’s experiences with the services they receive through Medicaid. The goal is to improve the quality of services by learning what is working well and what is not.
Voices of EQUIP surveys and interviews ask about your interactions with doctors and other providers, difficulties you may have getting services, and whether your providers or health plans offer help when you need it.
Some people enrolled in Medicaid will be randomly selected and invited to participate; selected individuals can choose whether they wish to participate.
If you received a Voices of EQUIP invitation letter and want to learn more, please contact us:
- By phone at 804-628-1811
- By email at EQUIP@vcu.edu
Please remember to include the Voices of EQUIP ID number shown on your letter.
Voices of EQUIP is part of a project called Examining Quality Improvement for Medicaid Programs, which is funded by the National Institutes of Health. In 2025-2026, Voices of EQUIP surveys and interviews are being conducted by a team at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).
The VCU team will create a summary of answers from all people who participate in Voices of EQUIP. Your name will not be shared with your doctors, your health plan, the state, or anyone outside the Voices of EQUIP team.
If you have any questions about Voices of EQUIP, please contact us at 804-628-1811 or EQUIP@vcu.edu
